I’m Phyllis Smith, Founder and Owner of IDTS Mobile Wellness & Screening Services. My passion for helping others began long before I started this business.

My journey into caring for others was deeply inspired by my late son, Melvin, who lived with cerebral palsy and scoliosis of the spine. Melvin brought an incredible amount of love, strength, and joy into my life. Being his mother taught me compassion, patience, advocacy, and the importance of treating every person with dignity and respect.

Because of Melvin and the love I had for him, I entered the field of private-duty nursing in the late 1990s, providing care and support to children with disabilities and elderly individuals. Those experiences shaped my understanding of the unique needs of families, seniors, caregivers, and individuals who simply want someone they can trust.

Today, I bring that same heart for service to IDTS Mobile Wellness & Screening Services. My goal is to make basic wellness screenings and point-of-care testing more convenient and accessible by bringing services directly to individuals, families, senior communities, churches, businesses, and community organizations.

Although Melvin is no longer here physically, his love continues to be part of the reason I do what I do. His life gave me a purpose that reaches far beyond a business—it gave me a calling to serve others with compassion, dignity, and genuine care.
